BackgroundLightsense Corporation was incorporated in 1986 to develop fiber optic chemical sensors. This development effort led to the construction of a number of other devices including Spectrophotometers, spectrofluorometers, and hermetically sealed display cases. Research has also been conducted in a number of related fields including biological and chemical weapons detection, polymer LED's, Fuel cell materials, low cost optical chemical sensors (non-fiber optic), and numerous other areas of scientific interest. Lightsense Corporation is currently owned and operated by Lawrence Ring, Horacio Kido Ph.D., and Jim Norton. Our MissionLightsense Corporation's mission is to develop and commercialize optical chemical sensors for both medical and industrial use. Lightsense Corporation's competence lies in its unusual interdisciplinary capabilities. Successful integration of analog and digital electronic design, software development, mechanical design, optics, and organic synthetic chemistry has been demonstrated. As a technology incubator, Lightsense Corporation will research and develop related technologies where our interdisciplinary capabilities offer a cost effective opportunity. Contact Information
